I didn't begin drawing until my 50s. For most of my life, I never considered myself an artist. What started as curiosity became a passion, and thousands of hours later, charcoal has become my creative language.
My work focuses on capturing character, emotion, and humanity through hand-drawn portraiture. Every piece is created traditionally — no digital shortcuts, no AI generation, just pencil, charcoal, patience, and practice.
My hope is simple: that my work inspires others to discover gifts they may not realize they possess.

A passion for portraiture that started later in life — and never stopped.
I began learning portrait art as a mature student, with no formal training and no background in fine art. What I had was an obsessive curiosity and a willingness to practice — drawing the same eye, the same nose, the same shadow over and over until it was right.
Years later, the work has grown into something I'm genuinely proud of: highly detailed charcoal portraits that capture personality, character, and the quiet dignity of a face.
